Vibration welding / CPC
graphic

KLN was the first company worldwide to develop this new technique, representing a great leap forward in the field of vibration welding. This new system is a result of 40 years of experience in ultrasonic welding of plastic parts, especially regarding the friction welding procedures, such as vibration welding, ultrasonic welding and spin welding.

(Complete Process Control)

CPC allows a controlled vibration start under burden and an active stop, both with a speed of 60 ms, as well as an ideal vibration behaviour during the whole welding process. In combination with the double coil technique, the efficiency is more than 50 % higher than with traditional vibration techniques. Process times are 30 – 40 % shorter with a simultaneous decrease in the appearance of lint. An active slow down avoids furthermore the mechanical burden on the weld line during the cooling process.

Weldable plastic parts:

Most important are the semi- crystalline, unreinforced or reinforced materials which are to be found for example in all polyamides, also with glass fibre reinforcement or other reinforcement components, in polyethylene, unreinforced or with partial reinforcement components such as talc, as well as all important materials which are used for the manufacturing of plastic parts, such as  ABS, SAN, PC, PMMA, PBT and Blends, like PP/EPDM, PC + PBT, PPE + PA, as well as welding of plastic parts with foreign to the process materials such as textile- or resin-adhered fibre materials and woodstock materials.
Typical fields of application
graphicgraphicgraphicgraphic
In the automobile industry:
for example: Spoilers, instrument panels, glove compartments, parcel shelves, engine covers, oil containers for servo-operation, filters, trims and bumpers and intake manifolds.
In the household appliances industry:
for example: washing machine parts, floor pan components for tumble-driers, door panels
General technical articles:
for example: motor saw containers, traps in drainpipes, gas meters, printer cartridges, etc.
