This technique is used for
continual cutting of
thermoplastics, as well as
for fast and neat cutting of
backed plastic material,
plastic foils and
polystyrene.

consists of:
- Generator,
20kHz, 500 Watt
- Transducer with
integrated booster
- Cutting sonotrode with
interchangeable
blades

soldered blade
The whole unit can be
integrated into automatic
manufacturing systems
and machines.

Complete cutting system
Consisting of generator 587, transducer and titanium
sonotrode with interchangeable cutting blades.
 Transducer with titanium sonotrode and cutting unit with
different interchangeable blades. A combined
transducer/sonotrode cooling device is available on request.
In addition to the conventional sonotrode, KLN has
developed a sonotrode with a special support which is
equipped with interchangeable blades. This allows the use
of the cutting unit for different applications.
A fast and simple change of the blades can be guaranteed.
The construction of the support allows for virtually loss-free
ultrasonic transmissions. Problems of conventional
systems, such as overheating and the occurrence of
fissuring cannot happen.
