New vibration technique CPC,
Patent Number. 10347345
without CPC
with CPC
A further advantage of the CPC
technique is the much shorter
welding time and the clear
reduction of sound emission.
KLN guarantees a level of 75 dbA
(the usual level is approx 80 dbA)

KLN was the first company worldwide to develop this new technique,
which is a great leap forward in the field of vibration welding. This new
system is a result of 40 years of experience in ultrasonic welding of
plastic parts, especially regarding the friction welding procedures, such
as vibration welding, ultrasonic welding and spin welding.
The core element of this new technique is the total control of the vibration
and welding process. Compared to the traditional procedures, a 40 %
higher efficiency and an enhanced welding quality can be achieved. Most
essential is the short start process (active start), ensuring a lint free welding
result, as well as a short slow down process (active slow down) avoiding
fissuring.
The effect of the lint free welding, in comparison with the traditional
procedures is shown in the photo of a weld line at polyamide 6.6 with
glass fibre, a material which is often use in the automobile industry. The
pictures shows very clearly that when the procedure without CPC is
applied, the glass fibre springs out, whereas the procedure with CPC,
binds the fibre due to the active start.
In addition, KLN has integrated many highlights into the machine
techniques, such as fully automatic frequency control at the moment of
the tool exchange below 1 sec, energy mode, control of amplitude, travel
and time during the welding process with 8 different levels, welding
forces in N and tool weight alignment, comprehensive quality control and
many more.
